 These from an issue of Fiesta somebody else scanned and shared online. I had been looking for that particular issue for some years so I am indebted to the mystery benefactor.

(Celebrity?) Boxing From Mexican TV

 

  One thing that seems to be constant world wide is the desire to see two attarctive women put on some boxing gloves and lay into each other. This is an example from Mexican Tv where model/TV presenter Vanessa Huppenkothen ges in the ring with Mariana "La Barbie" Juarez who is an actual professional boxer and was presumably told "Don't murder her inside Round One. We have Tv time to fill" .

An Unusual Apartment Wrestling Hold

 Just a couple of AHW pics where one woman uses a standing headscissors to punish her opponent and as a little extra, hauls on their leg as well. I don't know what this move is called but I wouldn't mind seeeing it used more often.  

 

Short And Sweet MMA From Greece.

 This MMA fight from Greek promotions GFC sees Xristina Kamenitsa and Xara Dinitroula take longer getting to the ring than they do fighting as one woman is quickly outclassed and submitted. 

  At one point there is a closeup of her face and she has clearly just realised that she's in trouble. What I like to think of as the "Oh Fuck" face and something I always enjoy in womens fights. 

 

Hungarian Heavyweights

I found this on a Hungarian language news site. sadly I have no idea when this was taken, where it was taken or even who these young ladies are.  Still, there's something fascianting about this first picture and i wish i could put my finger on it...

Korean Kickboxing: Seonghee Park vs. Soyul Kim

I've been watching a lot of women's kickboxing lately. For some reason a lot of female kickboxers are undeniably pretty, even if they could kick your teeth out the back of your head. You have to respect that. I also respect any combat sport athelete that shows up ready to fight and this Korean bout is definitely that.

Muay Thai Hardcore

 I've been watching a lot of women's Muay Thai lately and while some fights see the women carefully picking their shots and methodically working  to a game plan, others are  just straight up brawls.

This particular fight from the Muay Hardcore promotion is definitely the latter. Maybe it's just the editing but the  bout between ferocious local girl Saifah Sor. Supharat and Estonian cutie Calista Parts has them going toe to toe battering each other like it's personal.  Awesome.

Brazilian Muay Thai: Jaqueline v Jessica

If you want some good scrapping then women's Muay Thai nearly always delivers. Personally I love it when the girls get into a clinch on the ropes because there's something downright vicious about it.

 This Brazilian fight between Jaqueline and Jessica Diaz is quite a brawl.

I was just toying around with Fotomix - a little gizmo that removes backgrounds - and managed to come up with a Foxy Boxing poster starring two all-time British Glamour legends.

 Admit it, you'd have paid good money to see this back in the day.

Watching two women battle it out is a pleasure that the Victorians seem to have been keen on too. This is a pair of illustrations from back in the day.

Female Wrestling From Vietnam

  Most places in the world have some sort of traditional wrestling and in nearly all of them you get at least some female participation. Even so, I was quite surprised to discover a delightful Youtube rabbit hole recently.
  As part of an annual festival some towns in Vietnam lay out a big mat and have a wrestling tourney.    Contestants seem to favour one-piece singlets and the bouts are fast paced, with some quite spectacular throws and reversals.  It doesn't hurt that many of the contestants are easy on the eyes.

Angels Fighting

  Angels Fighting is a Korean MMA promotion although looking at their women's fights on Youtube I wonder if the girls have received any training whatsoever.  Then again most promotions don't have fighters wearing outfits like this:

Kim Jung Hwa is her name and if this kind of ring gear catches on, I won't complain. 

This is a highlights video and unfortunately her opponents let the side down when it comes to outfits. 

At one point she clearly takes a hit to the boobs. UFC ain't got nothing like that.

Mud Wrestling Competition From Italian TV

 Being a fan of female fighting means you quickly develop a little vocabulary in all sorts of languages. For example: The Italian for "Mud Wrestling" is "Lotta Nel Fango" Try googling it sometime.

 This particular clip is from Italian Tv and since i can't speak Italian I have no idea of the context beyond what I can deduce..
1. This seems to be some sort of competition. Year seems to be 1980.
2. The participants are taking it seriously (although it may be a pro-style "Work")
3. There's some definite needle her.  Nobody is rolling around and giggling.
4. The participants are hot, in shape and wearing sexy outfits.  Nice.

I had an old scan and I thought I'd see if i could come up with a little story for it.  see what you think.

Reworking A Cartoon.

I found a piece of art by the legendary Mort Drucker in an old Mad magazine that was almost perfect for this blog.  Almost.

First thing I did was clip out the bit I needed and that gave me this:

 However there was one small part that bugged me. What was going on with that foot?  The boot suddenly cut off halfway and it did look an awful lot like an afterthought.

A bit of tinkering with the original and I now had this:

I then decided I didn't like the blonde's bikini and while I was at it, a caption seemed appropriate.

Brazilian Bath Wwrestling

People are always coming up with new ways to get women grappling with each other. At some point it was decided that what the world needed was two curvy Brazilian women in thongs grappling in a bathtub and you know, I'm OK with it.
This particular combat sport  has the added advantage that the combatants are  nice and clean afterwards.
