Korean Kickboxing: Seonghee Park vs. Soyul Kim

I've been watching a lot of women's kickboxing lately. For some reason a lot of female kickboxers are undeniably pretty, even if they could kick your teeth out the back of your head. You have to respect that. I also respect any combat sport athelete that shows up ready to fight and this Korean bout is definitely that.

Muay Thai Hardcore

 I've been watching a lot of women's Muay Thai lately and while some fights see the women carefully picking their shots and methodically working  to a game plan, others are  just straight up brawls.

This particular fight from the Muay Hardcore promotion is definitely the latter. Maybe it's just the editing but the  bout between ferocious local girl Saifah Sor. Supharat and Estonian cutie Calista Parts has them going toe to toe battering each other like it's personal.  Awesome.

Female Wrestling From Vietnam

  Most places in the world have some sort of traditional wrestling and in nearly all of them you get at least some female participation. Even so, I was quite surprised to discover a delightful Youtube rabbit hole recently.
  As part of an annual festival some towns in Vietnam lay out a big mat and have a wrestling tourney.    Contestants seem to favour one-piece singlets and the bouts are fast paced, with some quite spectacular throws and reversals.  It doesn't hurt that many of the contestants are easy on the eyes.

Asian Movie MMA

 I found this clip the other day and it's unusual enough that I decided to share it. If you like big South Asian girls you're in for a treat. The actual fight is a weird hybrid of Oil wrestling and MMA with over-the-top sound effects. Shame about the outfits though.  Those shorts? Ugh.

Squaring Up.

  Sometimes fighters just lay into each other but sometimes you get that wonderful moment when two women are staring each other down before the battle. Looking into the other woman's eyes and letting her know you're ready for whatever she's got.

Freestyle Wrestling Done Right

In theory women's freestyle wrestling ought to be right up my street. It's two fit young women grappling on a mat, after all. I just have a big problem with the horrible singlets the girls have to wear.
 This Japanese clip (year unknown) from a bygone wrestling tournament offers a much more pleasing option.

Although now I come to think of it, at the original Olympics the Greeks used to wrestle naked...
